This is one of those rare scenes that becomes more powerful in hindsight. Don’t get me wrong, it was incredible in it’s own right but now the show has come to an end and we have seen it, we know what lies ahead and that makes this scene all the more poetic. We now know why future Erica’s goodbye was so final and we now know why she was so upset. The scene as a whole is just a beautiful example of their relationship and that, for me, is what this show is all about.
